GLtron is another clone of old classic Tron lightcycle game.

I added textures, I received a soundtrack, a lightcycle model, better textures, tons of ideas etc. It also boasts player splitscreen option.

The day I tried it first, I had 3 friends over, and we just played it in splitscreen, there is no taking turns so everyone was happy except Mikey, he lost: I got a few comments by E-Mail, and generally people thought that it was nice for such a small download, but probably a bit too simple. The graphics are beautifully rendered using OpenGL and the music and sound add to the over all frantic atmosphere of the game.

Not addictive for me, but it can be nice for others. Summary Hard to download, needed to navigate all the way to the site to find it. Game over - game won.

I had recently discovered a website devoted to linux games called The Linux Game Tome. The winner is the last player alive. There are games that are really simple, but really fun, and ggame is one of them. Okay, you CAN change speed using the Booster function You steer a futuristic bike, called lightcycle. Where ever you go you draw a wall behind you that your opponent or yourself cannot cross. Advertisements or commercial links.

It was the hackers and computer nerds world where every man was closest to himself and had to ride lightcycles to the death. Now that you gaje so much about GLtron's history, you're probably curious what's it about.

As for playing there is no problem, I click on the icon and in 3 seconds it starts up and then hit enter fee times at the title screen and in seconds I am in the game.

AI can be set to a nearly perfect difficulty and even the medium setting is very challenging. I love tron, and lightcycles, and this is just awesome. Summary I love tron, and lightcycles, and this is just awesome. Check all the display options to find the one that suits better your needs. The music is tacky but you can turn it off.

To make things interesting, however, each cycle generates a deadly wall of light that blocks off the other cycles--so don't cross your opponent's path!

The default settings look like the scene from the film that involves the cycle race, and the other options especially with a wireframe floor have a techno rave feel to them. On a unrelated note, no agme maintainer has been found yet.
